The only sensible option now is a flash cart or modchip. Original copies continue to get more expensive every year. I have expected some multiplatform games to suffer, but that said, some have been surprisingly good despite the PS2's weaker hardware.ДЄfter obtaining a modchipped PS2, Saturn and Gamecube along with a softmodded Wii and flash carts for Famicom, Genesis, SNES, Game Boy, Wonderswan, N64, GBA and DS, I can't imagine how one could enjoy these consoles today without them. I've been pleasantly surprised to find all sorts of neat PC ports, original titles and exotic imports. After some trial and error on the install, I got it working 100%. I bought a modbo 4.0 (matrix infinity clone), put it in my PS2 Slim SCPH-77001. Then I noticed it's easy to get PS2 modchips. Some time later, I looked at ways to do PS1 importing, then thought of modchips, became disappointed that PS1 chips are surprisingly hard to find. Then I got the PSOne LCD screen which is really nice. I hadn't played FF7 until now, I'd say it's as good as people say. A buddy of mine hooked me up with some Squaresoft games, they were pretty good. Before I had tried Metal Gear Solid and found it boring. Modbo 4.0 comes on a differently laid out pcb to earlier model Modbo chips, allowing for a slightly neater install. One of the major improvements Modbo 4 has over other Matrix clones is its better compatibility with DVD 9 and runs dual layer much better then older models. The Modbo 4.0 is a clone of the original Matrix Infinity range of PS2 mod chips. The Modbo 4.0 also uses a clock point, some of our customers have found that chips using a clock point вЂњCXвЂќ are generally more stable then the same type of chip not using a clock point. You can now go into the config menu and setup the Modbo 4 the way you want it, this is extremely handy for a lot of reasons. If that wasnвЂ™t enough, they have now managed to get the firmwareвЂ™s config menu and all its options to work and save.

Another bonus with the Modbo 4.0 is its now running the Matrix Infinity firmware v1.91 and is also possible to upgrade the firmware at a later date without any problems.
